Being a Woman in Business

When I birthed my business, I knew there was a way to honor my complexities and still create life-giving success…

This knowing felt seared into my soul.

I had spent the better part of the last five years awakening and reclaiming dormant parts of my femininity. I was tasting what happens when you live life sourced from the well and the womb of who you are.

I knew that, just like the ancient templates of creation were once revered, these energies could be accessed in commerce.

The mysteries were destined to be brought into the marketplace.

At the time, there were many names for the parts of me that felt complex:

  • • highly sensitive

  • • psychic AF

  • • no-motors Projector

  • • natal chart dominated by yin signs and houses

  • • feminine essence

For the sake of simplicity, let's call it being a woman.

In the early years of my business, I made a diligent and conscious effort to stay with what was authentic to my system.

The online business world felt assaulting to everything I knew to be true. Yet I also knew that the best initiations ask you to trial everything you think you are by fire.

For many years, I wove 'feminine business' templates into my work—publicly speaking and sharing them.

As this idea roared with popularity in the industry, I started to notice the many gaps. Be it using the concept to tarnish the masculine within and without or simply using it as a means to escape and avoid. I began to see how even the words put together kicked up so much psychic energy for people that they could no longer access the essence.

I simplified how I spoke about it and began to bring more comprehensive systems of subtle body mastery to the forefront of my work, knowing that these created approachable gateways that allow people to get in touch with their well of authentic energies without needing to adhere to binaries.

But, underneath it all, I held true to the way I knew was right for me.

What I once had to diligently tend became more embodied.

So much so that it would take a podcast interview or a client comment to remind me that I was continuing to steward the feminine business templates.

But much like the ancient feminine templates I revered, I was not speaking them; I was living them. They were no longer revolutionary in my system; they were Real.

I am no longer at the beginning of my business. I have taken these templates with me into a much larger company. And because of that, I have become a much more embodied woman.

While the essence itself could never be captured with words, enjoy looking through these different prisms of business ways that defy much of what we're told—yet live within the feminine experience.

1. The ‘secret’ business model

“Listen, obey, repeat.”

I remember when I decided to share this post. It had been two years of 'running' my business this way, and I had yet to share it publicly. I knew there would be adverse reactions to how easy it seemed.

Yet now, older and wiser, I can say with great certainty that this is my way. This is still… the business model.

Though it has moments of unparalleled ease, the simplicity of it is what makes it so difficult

Now more than ever before…

…the world seeks to rob us of our listening.

…we are pressured to trust things outside of ourselves.

…we are hypnotized into a trance of business complexity—falling into the sea of endless hows.

So, while living it can be quite easy… it takes a supreme level of devotion to access it.

As your body of work, business, and legacy grows, so must your devotion to this way. Otherwise, you will oscillate between overriding to keep up and collapsing in overwhelm.

Women have the power to both birth and destroy worlds. Your company can be a conduit for life-giving success, or it can be the very thing that destroys you.

2. The symbiosis of fortification and flow

This is the universal feminine and masculine principles, dancing together. The roots of this idea sing the entire Universe into existence. Engaging the deeper layers will change everything

In the context of business, fortification, and flow need each other to exist.

If you attempt to run your business in a feminine way without integrating this, you will start calling your own fear and pain, things not flowing, being misaligned, or not feeling good.

Yet, if you insidiously override in the name of doing. You will stop hearing your system’s warning signals and intuition's whispers.

Ultimately, your business will suffer.

Let's take the idea of consistency, for example.

At the beginning of my work, I didn't trust myself to show up because I was scared. I had a lot of pain in my system around being seen.

Thus, I knew that while I engaged that pain (the surest pathway to creating space to show up), I would also benefit from some constraints. I committed to writing two emails and one long-form article a month.

As time passed, I transformed pain and took action (even when I was scared). This combination cultivated trust—trust to be with myself and that I would move even when I was afraid.

The bedrock of this trust created fortification, allowing me to access flow and flexibility. I didn’t need the same constraints because I knew I would show up and share. From here, sharing became less constraint-based and more intuitive.

Rivers flow because of banks.

This is what has allowed me to take social media breaks, have a wildly inconsistent launch schedule, steward a membership with no end in sight, change my business model, and more.

Where in your work are you attempting to flow without fortification?

Where have you built up too much fortification and lost flow in your work?

3. The art of attraction

This is another one of those 'it can't be that easy' concepts.

Whenever I speak on my experience of not having to ‘go and get’ people, places, or things but rather––letting them come to me, I am met with either a deep sigh of relief or anger.

I am a Projector in the Human Design system. We are designed (to put it simply) to pull things in.

But beyond HD, I see this as a wider feminine template. The receptive, magnetic, vortex-like quality that doesn't penetrate but magnetizes.

God laughs at me every time I go against this in my life and work. I can recount endless stories of going to ‘seek something out’ only to have every door closed in my face. Conversely, all the most real things in my life have simply appeared.

Everything I'm offering here begins in the female body circuitry. This is the blueprint for female power. It is vastly different from what we've been taught and more beautiful than you could have imagined.

4. The matter principle

I realize that, as a woman, my relationship with physical matter is inseparable from my connection to my business.

Be it body, food, home, animals, garden, children, plants, and altar space.

It's thought that the feminine principle rules matter, while the masculine principle rules spirit. The feminine principle rules tending and nourishing, whereas the masculine principle rules igniting and impacting.

Think about the difference between planting a seed and then nourishing the seed.

I experience a direct correlation between how I'm tending matter and my business.

If I am not caring for my body, it shows up in my work.

It shows up in my work if I am not paying attention to the house (and everything that lives within it).

It shows up in my work if I am not tending my altars.

Simply put, my work is one part of the ecosystem. The health of everything else is what affects its health. It's health, affects everything else.

I have experienced this idea with such depth and ferocity that I created not one but two offerings centering on it. ReSource and Fine Tune.

As your company grows, so do your responsibilities. If related to in a more masculine way, responsibility can quickly become doing and holding it all.

Yet, in the feminine templates—responsibility is a dance of listening and communicating. Tending and remembering.

In this style, you don't just know but live the truth that you and your life are ecosystems where everything flows in interdependence.

5. Welcoming the masculine’s leadership

I welcome and deeply honor the masculine's leadership. My system craves it.

I used to teach more about this, but it is such a sensitive and deep topic for all bodies that I've shifted to addressing it exclusively through private sessions.

It's easy to think 'I'm' running the company. But those who really know me or are simply attuned to it can see that Chris (my soon-to-be husband) has been involved in it since day one.

He could never do it the way I do it, and I could never do it the way he does.

I can say with total clarity that none of this would have happened without him and our union.

He is the fire that inspired me to reclaim my energy from my familial karma. When we first met, he was the lightning who said to me, "You're here to do something big." He was the sword who pushed me to put up Astrology and HD reading flyers when I was shaking in my boots—because he saw who I was and what I was capable of well before I did.

He has never doubted me or the company once. He is unwavering in his love, ruthless in his sight, and relentless in his integrity.

More recently, he's taken on a more prominent front-facing role, and it's become apparent that we are doing this together.

But it's always been that way. He has a form of leadership, vision, and power that I simply do not. I bow to it.

Together, we are unstoppable.

6. Knowing where female power comes from

I saved the best for last.

As a woman, my power comes from my reproductive system first. Not my throat, not my head, not even my belly.

The female energy body is a rich, complex tapestry of circuitry, extending from the roots beneath the feet through the reproductive region to the many pathways around the heart, breasts, and nipples—and beyond.

I have been studying and training in this circuitry for the last seven years, and it is at the core of everything in the feminine style.

You would think there's no place for this circuitry in business, money, and leadership. However, the very thing breathes love and life into these spaces.

Although it's impossible to capture the essence of this power in just a few lines, it's clear that our understanding of power as women has been profoundly misconstrued in terms of its nature, appearance, and sensation.

It is far more subtle, vast, clean, and complex than ever imagined.

It is the 'answer' to every problem women experience in business and all of Life.
